The newest book from criminal defense attorney and historian, Chuck Lanehart was released on October 24th. Marvels of the Texas Plains: Historic Chronicles from the Courthouse to the Caprock is now available in paperpack and eBook format.

Readers of the Lubbock Avalanche Journal’s Caprock Chronicle will recognize some of the stories and historical accounts. Although there is a lot of new material covering significant cultural events to infamous criminals from the Wild West to innovations. All of which occurred in the South Plains of Texas, the Llano Estacado to the Texas Panhandle.

As a lifelong resident of Lubbock, Chuck enjoys sharing the undiscovered stories of a misrepresented and misunderstood region. Marvels of the Texas Plains is the third book written by Chuck Lanehart and likely won’t be the last.
